Spencer Rothbell is the glue that has held the Clarence show together over the last few years. Not only is Spencer the Head of Story for Clarence, but he took on the gargantuan task of replacing the shows original lead voice actor for the “Clarence” character after his departure from the show. Despite his hectic schedule he is always positive and smiling. His overwhelming talent, sense of humor and strong work ethic are an inspiration to me and the rest of the Clarence crew.

Spencer Rothbell was born in New Jersey and grew up in Vermont. He attended CalArts and studied Experimental Animation where he made dumb prank calls and super serious artsy shorts. He also studied at Second City in Chicago, where he tried his best not to over-think being funny. He now uses these skills in the world of animation, notably as Head of Story and lead voice of Cartoon Network’s Clarence. Other credits include Animals (HBO) and Victor and Valentino (Cartoon Network). He’s currently working as a writer and voice actor - merging all his favorite things: comedy, cartoons, performance, and storytelling.
